This page lists the stocks with the largest price moves, the heaviest trading activity, and those sitting nearest their 52-week extremes, for the Indian (NSE) and US markets separately. Gainers and losers rank by percentage change on the session. Most active is shown two ways — by share volume and by traded value — because a low-priced stock can top a volume list while moving very little actual money, and traded value is usually the more meaningful of the two. Near 52-week high/low shows how far a stock sits from its one-year extreme.
A large move is a description of what happened, not an explanation of why. Stocks appear here for very different reasons: results, corporate announcements, sector-wide moves, index rebalancing, or simply thin liquidity making a modest order look dramatic. A small, illiquid stock can top a gainers list on very little real buying.
